these ideas are fantastic. what a great example of thinking differently and creatively.
Second!
so true, it’s really creative!!
one of my favorite spots to advertise on campus is the backs of stalls in restrooms. especially women’s restrooms. what else is there to look at?
that is a big chocolate it make me think log of chocolate but log would be tree full of parrots! OK?
love the last one. super creative and eye catching.
wow i love it .. inspiring… this is the kind of stuff i hope to do
Love the post!
Funny!!
🙂
These students are horribly misguided. Instead of using your talents to bombard the populace with intruding advertisements, use your skills for something worthy.
wouldn’t you rather creative, interesting people doing the advertising, then all of the crap that’s out there now? It’s not always about intruding on people, but maybe trying to engage them. Do you not buy stuff? We are not a direct result of the media as a culture, our media is a direct result of our culture.
Rather than trolling the internet and making inane “holier-than-thou” comments…shouldn’t you be out in the real world making it better?
Wow! I wish real advertising was this interesting!
great¡¡ Second¡
What’s the ROI on something like this? LOL- if i proposed something like these for my company, I would be laughed out of the office or fired for wasting company funds. Creative, absolutely. Practical for return in a real-world setting? Not a chance.
I love it!
Ben, they are in college, so while they could possibly do things more useful, at the moment Its probably not the biggest thing in their lives. Also how are these advertisments intrusive, and how are they bombarding them, when you make your pockets on your jacket a doritos bag, do you think that will annoy people? And please define worthy, personaly I think it is worthy if it brightens someones day even a little bit. And finally, if they don’t practice their amazing skills now, they wont be as prepared later in life.I think this was a good idea.
Heh, those are some interesting ideas. I wonder how well theyd actually translate into increased revenue, vs. just making people chuckle.
awesome……….
Is no one else baffled by what “shambu” said?
“that is a big chocolate it make me think log of chocolate but log would be tree full of parrots! OK?”
What?
Let’s work this out, people. Shambu may be on to something, we just have to crack the code.
So cool! I love it when ingenuity takes over! Makes our business SO much more fun!
wow these are sooo imaginative and fun! well done to those who came up with them!

How out of the box! Wow, those kids aren’t stuck in a rut! I wish my life didn’t suck! Who am I? I want Doritos!
ben,
why dont you do something worthy?
or not!
Ben is “horribly” misguided. Instead of using his “talents” to complain that students he doesn’t even know aren’t conforming to his personal mores & standards, he should be out there using his “skills” for something worthy. Like street preaching.
those are very creative pictures.i dont think anybody could diagree.
those are very creative ideas.i dont think anybody could diagree…except Ben..dork.
hahaha shume fenomenal , rte prapt jan studenta
Brilliant stuff! Really enjoyed it!
So cool and creative!!
Amazing work. Sadly it’s for advertising.
fabulous, funny, artsy, and technical. i love it!
while i don’t mean to defend him, i think ben was just referring to the fact that people who obviously have such creative intelligence, such emotional, and personal intelligence, should be doing the most impactful things they can. i’m not sure the way he said it was very respectful, but i agree with him on a certain level. i probably would interpret his words (in a polite way) as:
i hope one day, we see these people doing great things that benefit every level of the international society, not just the advertising realm. for them to expand their creativity would be so wonderful!
not to mention, a couple of those advertisements were eco-friendly (hello, smart car, and eco friendly tissues!). bravo!
Disclaimer: I’m an Executive Creative Director at an agency in NYC and constantly looking for new talent.
Most of these ideas are, in my opinion, terrible. Only the Windex and Powerbar ideas would get any of these students an interview at my agency.
The rest are cliched urban spam, the product of the dumb ‘connections planning’ trend which seeks to turn everything into media.
The world does not want a huge fake Toblerone in a public park. Turning the US open into a computer game spoils the game for true fans.
Try to come up with ideas that are ADDITIVE, not INTERRUPTIVE. Make things that add value or utility to people’s lives.
Just my advice for getting hired!
^ Name says it all
Have A Nice Day!!!
Excellent, creative ideas…I especially love the Toblerone (is it a bike rack?) and the Windex one. First and last. Some in the middle confused me, but very well done. I figure if one doesn’t like ’em, don’t LOOK AT ‘EM!!!!
Well done, students!
really nice work, even if some professionals dont like, I do!
Hilarious! I particularly love the Doritos pocket 🙂
very artistic
I agree with Ben. It’s a really a shame that all of these bright kids are going into marketing to bombard us with more ads.
Kool .. very creative!
Ben = Epic Fail
What a coincidence. I too am an Executive Creative Director at an agency in New Jersey. I’d love to talk to you some time Ben, you know, beat the bush, discuss where you think the world of advertising is going. Of course, you’ll have to wait as I am currently in orbit over Mars and when I return from space I will be spending three weeks as a orthopaedic surgeon in Taiwan and then I’m performing a comedy routine for the Prime Minister of Britain. But, you know, when I get back let’s totally discuss your own individual opinion about stuff and things.
These are great executions, but I can also see Ben’s point. Really interesting and looks at things in a new and different light, but can be disruptive rather than informative and interesting.
Wonderfully creative and fresh. I especially loved the Windex and Doritos ads. So basic yet intriguing.
Kudos to all those creative minds out there!
To post #10 Ben: who are you to tell others what to do with their lives? Your comment is so arrogant.
These ideas WOULD be great if they weren’t being used to brainwash you suckers into buying stuff you don’t need.
I am just so happy right now.
Wow these are really cool and it was fun to see what advertisements there were! =)
Omniologist
…oops disregard the last seemingly random one-word message.
For the most part I found about half of the ideas were kind of stale, but the Windex idea was pretty nice, The doritos pocket is a pretty nice gimmick, the rest are, imho, a bit shallow and not really all that creative.
Unfortunately, this type of advertising is just waste money. As Ian stated this type of advertising does not yield much return on investment.
Check out Victoria BC Marketing to find out why this type of advertising will put you out of business.
I dont get the shoe-one… what is it advertising for???
Wow! those are cool!
really creative and innovative
I agree with Ben, all advertising, no matter how creative, is intrusive. no time or space is wasted to bombard you with sales pitches.
The people designing these however, are nonetheless creative.
Amazing and creative… but unfortunately I don’t get to see one here in my place…
